Stress
is a reaction of the nervous system automatically defending
itself against attack, real or imagined. That system releases
adrenalin to aid with the ‘fight or flight’
response. If the threat is real, that adrenalin would be
used up running or fighting, but if it’s unused and
that adrenalin remains in the body, the result is stress.
We all need a certain amount of stress to function, it’s
only when those stress levels go beyond manageable levels
that it can begin to affect us.
Stress can weaken us, making us feel less effective in
our day to day lives which can sometimes make us feel isolated.
This feeling of loneliness can be stressful which can then
lead to a long, vicious circle.
Stress stops us enjoying ourselves, prevents us from living
our lives the way we want and can manifest itself with physical
symptoms – shortness of breath, increased heart rate
and these can feel very real, increasing the stress levels
further.
In our busy lifestyles today we often forget how to relax
and find it so easy to slip into the patterns we use everyday.
Using Hypnosis to combat stress is one of the most effective
methods to relax both physically and mentally and using
suggestions to decrease stress and increase the ability
to calm down and relax.
A Stress Management Program with hypnosis will firstly
help you to understand stress and how it affects you on
a personal level. Then with defined suggestions enable you
to put strategies together to increase: relaxation, confidence,
self esteem and self hypnosis. Also help and instruction
on physical breathing techniques and preventative measures
to control your level of stress before it becomes unmanageable.
